Patrick Allen, he also narrated on Blackadder the first series. he is sadly no longer with us.
The answer to this question is Patrick Allen.He was not very well known,but what was distinctive was his voice.For a number of years,he did voiceovers for tv advertising.However,his biggest claim to fame was when he was hired to be the voice describing what to do in the event of a nuclear attack.
