Why does House call Wilson, Jimmy in some of the episodes?

'Jimmy' is a nickname for James. So is Jim... I keep waiting for House to call Wilson 'JimBo' one of these days!House (Tv Show)?

I betting that Wilson doesn't like to be called Jimmy and House knows that,so he just does it to bug him .That's typical House for you.
Jimmy is another name for James, or have i missed something, I watch the show and love it, one of the best things around currently, strange that a Brit should play such a part and get it so right, and to think he once played Bertie Wooster, doesn't seem the same guy.
